The China Garden-Photographs
The China Garden needed a lot of research. When I was writing it, I collected images, visited lots of places and took many photographs.
I thought that The China Garden readers might like to share some of this background material.
These images, while not exactly as I imagined the people and places in the book sometimes came
very close.

A reader, Alisa Stolyar, sent me this lovely poem inspired by The China Garden, and gave me leave to include it here:
Ravensmere
A glittering diamond in the sky
Dragons soaring in the night
Moondrops falling to the floor
The moongate is open, it is the door
Enter, enter, see the dancing
Enter, enter, feel the presence
Spirits flying deep within
Guardians, they're holding in
Hear the music...distantly
Playing...like a memory
Round and round the maze you go
Rocking like a willow
Softly walk upon the path
Curving and escaping death
Dare to tiptoe on the stair
Garden temple holds your prayer
Angels flying in the wind
They are of your secret kin
Fairy kingdom in the grove
You have found it...
This is your home
